As the MAP test approaches for our students I know many parents are wondering what they can do to help out! Here is a link I have provided to the Northwest Education Association (NWEA) website where they have developed a parent toolkit as a resource and guide to parents! Check it out for some great information! NWEA Parent Toolkit
We are hosting a special morning for our students to spend breakfast with the fathers and father figures in their lives!
The PTO and the library are working together to provide a coffee and doughnut breakfast in the school cafeteria. Dads are welcome to stay and participate in the classrooms during the first part of the morning which will be devoted to activities that will include these volunteers. Activities such as writing exercises, science experiments, hands-on math, and technology lessons are some of the fun that will be provided.
If you would like to participate in our doughnuts and Dads breakfast and fun please contact the library or the PTO for more information! We will be sending home reminder and sign-up flyers closer to the day!
P.S. Don't worry Mom's we will be having a Muffins & Mom breakfast day soon!
We are hosting a Career Fair and YOU'RE invited! We are asking volunteers from the community to come and set up a small booth in our library on Friday, May 11, to share information about your career in order to help children see the amazing opportunities that they will have as they look toward their future! We hope to see all kinds of careers from doctors and astronauts to small business owners. Please come and join in our fun! If you have any questions please contact our librarian Mrs. Hopkins!
We welcome parent and community volunteers to come during library classes to read to children, help with keeping shelves neat, and help with activities. Please call the library to find out more information about how you can help out!
